My graditude list of 2011

I've been slacking on my blog.  There are posts to come about everything that has been going on.

The holiday season is in full swing, which usually would make me giddy with excitement!  I love Thanksgiving and Christmas.  However,  this year's excitement is somewhat dampened since I am still adjusting to the fact I am not pregnant.  During our IVF cycle, I had imagined the holidays being different.  I had pictured us telling our friends and family we were expecting during Thanksgiving break.  What a perfect time to share such a special announcement.  At least what I thought was a perfect time.

I might not be pregnant, but I still have SO MUCH to be thankful for.  So in the spirit of thanksgiving, here is my gratitude list.  I will continue to reflect on all His blessings during this holiday season.  This will surely get me ready for Christmas:)

I am thankful for (in no order)...

  • Our church: Highpoint is an amazing place to worship.  For three years Jeremy and I church-hopped and around this time last year we started going to Highpoint.  It is where God wanted us to be all along.
  • Hopeful Hearts: Through my support group/ bible study I have had the opportunity meet some incredible women.  I admire these women and their journeys!
  • Madison and McLean-  They are my sweet kitties!
  • My health-  My body went through a lot during our IVF cycle and I stayed healthy the whole time.  I am very thankful for my health and my body's ability to do fertility treatments because I want that baby:)
  • Friends-  Thank you for all your support!  We love you all so much!!
  • Our parents' health-  This is a given... so thankful our parents are healthy and happy!
  • My job-  In January I will be cutting back on hours!!!  For many months I worked the 2nd shift and Jeremy worked during the day...  we only saw each other during the weekends and IT WAS SO HARD!!! Never again friends, I will NEVER do that again!  The goal is for me to find a part-time job at a doctor's office so I can be home at night with Jeremy.
  • Our infertility journey-  WHAT?  Crazy huh,  but I am thankful for our infertility journey.  It is our special journey and I know God has placed it in our lives for a reason.  Every struggle comes with a purpose!!!  "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2nd Corinthians 12:10
  • Five guys burgers-  Did you know I LOVE Five Guys!?!?  They have the BEST burgers in town.  I cannot eat Huey's anymore.  Thank you Five guys for coming to Memphis!  Yummy in my tummy.
  • Jeremy- He is an AMAZING man.  I am so thankful God picked him for me.  He teaches me patience and kindness everyday.  The best part is he is ALL mine! :)
  • Running- Running is my stress reliever and something positive I do for myself.
  • My blog-  This blog has been a wonderful and very therapeutic way for me to express my feeling and struggles.  I am thankful we will always have these memories here to look back and remember later on in life.  It is an honor to share our infertility struggle and we hope one day it will help others going through similar situations.
  • Almond milk-  I love my almond milk with cereal in the morning.  It is healthier than regular milk and doesn't make me sick!  Win-win!
  • Southwest miles-  We have enough miles saved up to go anywhere and our flight will be FREE! Spring 2012 trip here we come!
  • Memphis zoo-  This is our special spot in Memphis.  We are members so we go almost every weekend.  It's our special place to talk and spend quality time together. OH HAPPY DAY, when we take our children there for the first time... there will be lots of joyful tears.
  • Memphis tigers basketball- Jeremy added this one!
  • Target-  Seriously, who doesn't love target.
  • Our eight PRECIOUS BABIES-  God has blessed us more than our wildest dreams, we have eight beautiful embryos!  We love them so so much!!!
  • My faith-  I have grow tremendously in my faith over the last year. So has Jeremy. God is still using our infertility struggle as a learning tool and I am all ears.  I am learning that no matter what He loves me and sent his son to die for me.  The cross is what I am most thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    My latest obsession!

This past year I have started to get interested in photography.  I REALLY want a Canon Rebel for Christmas, hint... hint... Jeremy!  Since I don't have the best camera (sad face), I really needed to find an online company that would print quality photo books.  LET ME TELL YOU... I am in love with Shutterfly!  Our family went to the beach this summer and I made my first Shutterfly photo book with pictures from our trip!  I was blown away by how awesome the photo book turned out.  Everyone in my family wanted a copy, so we ended up ordering 5 extra copies.  Their website is so super easy to use that even my mom could figure it out (sorry mom)! Photo books always make a great Christmas present and Shutterfly is NOW running a special for 25% off on all PHOTO BOOKS!   Check out my pride and joy...

I made this cool refrigerator magnet because it was super inexpensive!   Shutterfly is always running the BEST deals!  Right now you can get 20% off on all magnets.

Check out my most recent purchase.  I am really digging my new note cards.  I have gotten many compliments on my note cards.  I think they turned out super cute!

Every time I get a bright orange package in the mailbox, I know it is going to be a good day.  There is so much anticipation waiting for my Shutterfly package to arrive... opening the package feels similar to the excitement surrounding Christmas morning.

Speaking of Christmas... I was looking at Shutterfly's Christmas cards and HELLO they have so many I am in love with.  I mean SERIOUSLY, how to do you pick?!?!  It was really hard to narrow down but these are some of my favorites...

I love MY Shutterfly.  You cannot get better quality prints anywhere else!  I cannot wait for my next package containing our Christmas cards to come in the mail:)  If you are a blogger and want some FREE holidays cards click HERE and don't forget to check out their fabulous photo books too.
